What is a booking link?

A booking link is a personal web address you share so clients can see your services, pick an open time, book a session, and pay—without back-and-forth messages. Instead of asking people to DM you for availability, you send one link; they confirm on the page.

Why booking links matter for solo providers

If you run sessions one-to-one or in small groups—tutoring, coaching, training, beauty, or a studio—most of your day still goes to scheduling. Clients ask when you’re free. You check your calendar. Someone ghosts. Someone else wants a different length or price. A booking link turns that chat into a page they can open any time.

The link is yours, not a listing you rent inside someone else’s marketplace. You put it in your Instagram bio, WhatsApp status, email signature, or website. When someone is ready, they book. You spend less time coordinating and more time delivering the session.

For clients, the experience is simple: open the link, choose a service, pick a time that shows as available, enter their details, and finish. They do not need an account on your booking page just to book. That lowers friction for first-time clients who only wanted a time, not another login.

What a good booking link includes

A useful booking link is more than a contact form. At minimum it should show who you are, what you offer, how long each session runs, what it costs, and which times are open. Ideally it also lets clients pay when they book, or choose to pay later or on an invoice—matching how you already work.

Availability should come from your real hours so clients cannot pick a slot you never offer. After they book, you should see the session on your side and they should get a clear confirmation. If you change your public link later, old shared URLs should still reach you so past posts and messages do not break.

  • Your name, what you do, and a short tagline clients will recognize
  • Services with duration and price
  • Open times based on your availability
  • A way to book and pay (or book now and pay later / invoice)
  • A stable personal URL you can share everywhere

How to get a booking link

You can set one up in a few steps. The exact screens vary by product; here is the path on Appty.

  1. Create your account. Sign up and claim your personal link (for example getappty.com/yourname). That URL is the booking link you will share.
  2. Add at least one service. Name the session, set the length in minutes, and set the price. One service is enough to start taking bookings.
  3. Set your availability. Choose the days and hours clients can book. Only open times appear on your page.
  4. Connect payouts if you want card payments. Connect Stripe so clients can pay online when they book. You can still take bookings and settle later if you are not ready for cards yet.
  5. Share the link. Copy getappty.com/yourname into your bio, WhatsApp, email, or flyer. Clients open it, book, and pay on the page—no app install required for them.

How Appty makes booking links easy

Appty gives every provider a shareable address at getappty.com/yourname. You claim the slug during setup, put services with price and duration on the page, and set availability so clients only see times you offer.

Clients book on that page without creating a login first. They can pay when they book through Stripe Connect, book now and pay later, or use monthly invoicing—whichever options you turn on for a service. You can also book someone yourself from the dashboard and send them the confirmation.

Group classes sit on the same link when you offer them. If you rename your slug later, Appty forwards the old link so earlier shares still work. When you need how-to detail, the Help Center walks through setup, sharing, payments, and invoices with short guides.

The point of the link is simple: one address clients already understand—“send me your booking link”—that turns interest into a confirmed, paid (or pay-later) session without another messaging thread.

Frequently asked questions

What is a booking link?
A booking link is a personal URL you share so clients can view your services, choose an open time, book a session, and pay on the page—without messaging back and forth for availability.
Do clients need an account to use my booking link?
On Appty, clients do not need to create a login just to book. They open your link, pick a service and time, enter their details, and confirm. You manage everything from your provider dashboard.
Can clients pay when they book?
Yes. After you connect Stripe, clients can pay at book on your page. You can also offer pay-later and monthly invoice options for services where that fits how you work.
Where should I put my booking link?
Anywhere you already talk to clients: Instagram or other social bios, WhatsApp, email signatures, your website, and printed materials. One stable getappty.com/yourname link keeps every channel pointing at the same page.
What happens if I change my booking link later?
On Appty you can rename your slug. The old address forwards to the new one so past posts and messages still reach your booking page.
