Money paid for a session belongs to the service provider's business. Money paid for an Appty plan, and the Appty booking fee, belong to Appty. The rules below follow that split. Fees and plan prices are on the pricing page and in the service provider's dashboard, not on this page.
Cancelling a session
Each service provider sets their own cancellation policy. It is shown on that service provider's booking page, including how long before the session a cancellation is free and whether a late fee applies. The service provider changes it from the Cancellation policy section of their dashboard. Appty does not impose one cancellation window on every service provider.
Refunds for sessions
The service provider decides whether to refund a session, and the service provider issues the refund. If you are a client, contact the service provider first. Appty can help route a request to the service provider. Appty cannot force the service provider to make a refund.
Booking fees and card processing fees
Once a payment has been processed, the Appty booking fee and the card processing fee may be non-refundable. That does not apply where the law requires a refund, or where Appty chooses to refund the fee, including when the cause was a technical error on Appty's side.
Subscriptions
You can cancel a paid plan at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid. We do not refund the unused part of that period, except where the law requires it.
Chargebacks
A card dispute or chargeback is handled through Stripe and the service provider. If the amount cannot be recovered from the service provider, how the remaining loss is divided is [TO CONFIRM WITH LAWYER].
How to ask
Clients should use the contact details on the booking page or the receipt and write to the service provider. Service providers with a question about a plan or a platform fee should email hello@getappty.com. The wider agreement is in the Terms of Service.
